I’ve lived in Florida for about four years, and I’ve explored more in this past weekend than I have in maybe half that time. And I’m not sure it could’ve been any better. If I won the lottery, maybe. But money doesn’t buy you happiness, people do. Great people and long bike rides.
I’ll give you the highlights because — in this post — the pictures are going to be a lot more exciting than the words. Also, make sure to follow me on the insta for even more fun
SATURDAY: Tampa Museum of Art, juice & boy bands. My high school friend and 2007 prom date is now 1/5th of Midnight Red, and they visited Florida on tour. Am I famous by association?
I can’t remember exactly what was in this juice, but it tasted like straight carrot. Like liquified carrot. It was interesting. They had one with mint, which is on my list to try.
SUNDAY: My parents called me up Saturday and asked if I wanted to bike the Pinellas Trail with them on Sunday morning. I almost turned them down, but I’m so happy I didn’t. It ended up being one of the best bike rides, ever. About ten miles from where we parked, we detoured off the Pinellas Trail and onto Honeymoon Island where I now plan to camp out for the rest of my life. Who’s got a tent I can bum?
It was only two bucks for bikers to get into the state park. The beaches are beautiful and clean, and it’s very low-key.
I cannot wait to go back and ride more of the trail. It was so pretty and so great that we didn’t have to worry about traffic.
After our ride, we stopped at Toula’s Trailside Cafe in Tarpon Springs.
We I pretty much destroyed my meal and part of my dad’s. Totally hit the hangry spot.
Have you explored much around where you live? What’s your favorite thing to do near you?
Coffee time. Have a great Monday!
