I had some time to think yesterday.
Haha. Just kidding. No one has time for that anymore. But I made time.
I was pretty sure I’d go crazy if I didn’t get just a minute in the quiet with my thoughts. I headed to Davis Islands last night to hang with the boats.
This is my peace. Indian-style on the edge, listening to the ships rock back and forth; the water lapping the sides like an echo-conversation with the fishies. It was like a yoga class without the bending and stretching. I could’ve savasana-ed for at least 15 minutes. I grabbed a decaf coffee on my way and sipped and thought as walkers, runners, bikers and puppies passed back and forth.
It was kind of the best way to end a really long day.
Now, let’s take an off-topic detour. I did a home workout before this little trip to DI. I adapted it from a Fitfluential workout I saw posted on Instagram a few weeks ago. Theirs used kettlebells, but I don’t have those so I used dumbbells and changed the amount of reps. Here’s mine:
I was thoroughly sweaty — leg sweats and all — and this morning my quads and butt are on fi-yah! Do I have to put a disclaimer on this? Well, here it is: I’m not a pro and I can’t actually, professionally recommend or give you workouts so try it and get sweaty at your own risk. Please and thank you.
And I did it listening to this song. On repeat. They’re coming to Tampa in two weeks and I’m going. YES.
Ok, here’s what you gotta do: Tell me your favorite workout or put a link in the comments to where I can find a serious heart-pumper.
Have a good one guys.
